Recently I have been exploring alternatives for me to put my savings. It just seems that having those extra dollars sitting in a savings account they are asking to be spent!
Recently I visited the FDIC's website looking for information about bank ratings. I found out that the FDIC does not publicly release data about banks, but it does list other companies that provide the service.
I decided to compare my personal bank, my business bank, and an online bank that offered an almost unbelievablely high interest rate.
My personal bank, which was a national chain, recieved 3 1/2 stars out of 5. Not aweful, but far from perfect. My business bank, which is local, got 4 stars out of 5. Getting better! The online-only bank.. 5 stars out of 5!
